Aerie, American Eagle’s sister store for lingerie has done it again with another ad campaign that promotes body positivity.
Last year, Aerie’s ad campaign featured their models as un-retouched. Jenny Altman, Aerie’s style and fit expert, shared in Good Morning America that,
“We left everything. We left beauty marks, we left tattoos, what you see is really what you get with our campaign,” she said, adding that it was important to represent reality. “It’s a selling point because our customers represent this great demographic and they don’t really get to see what girls their age really look like.”
This year, Aerie has come out with another campaign, this time featuring women who are not all models. According to Iskra Lawrence, “half of the girls have never even been on a photoshoot, yet all these women proudly bare their real selves to share their spark everywhere.”
